As Spartanburg’s longest-running yoga studio reached their 15 year anniversary, they needed something special to celebrate. When we met to develop a video idea, we talked a lot about “community.” Yogalicious sees their role as healing and connecting the people and places that make up Spartanburg, SC, and this is clear in all of their community involvement. At the same time, this crew is incredibly fun, playful, and unpretentious in everything they do.
A lot of yoga videos look the same. I wanted to develop a visual idea that showed the importance of people and place and how yoga connects them. Along the way, we needed to emphasize that the yoga studio had moved up the street to a new location, but was still in downtown Spartanburg! The result is a yoga mat that rolls literally right out the door and all over downtown, connecting everyone in its path.
I was delighted this runaway yoga mat idea resonated with them. Per usual, we’ve deployed a blend of practical effects and VFXÂ to achieve the result.
