“The Twindle Foundation is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to changing the wealth gap of African Americans and minorities by increasing homeownership.”
For this project, I sat down with founder Twanja Windley for an unscripted, documentary-style interview. We talked about personal experiences that led her to create this nonprofit, and we explored hopes and dreams of where the foundation will go in the future. In this format, we take the conversation into the editing room and spend a day transcribing the most compelling and salient moments. Then, we draw connections between these moments to craft a narrative. With no b-roll to cut away to, this video manages to tell the foundation’s story while maintaining a raw and personal feeling that can only come from a truly impassioned interview.
