In 2017 my friends and colleagues Chris White & Emily Reach White set out to produce 5 short films before the year was over, giving each one week for writing, one for shooting, one for editing. These and other restrictions were part of a deliberate self-imposed challenge, which Chris lovingly calls “practice.” I had the honor of documenting the fifth and final film, “Sub Rosa,” during its production over one dreamy weekend Tryon, NC. The resulting doc is a “making of” film that really celebrates these artists at work.
