About the Project:
Client: USC Upstate Athletics
Year: 2015
To begin the 2015 USC Upstate women’s volleyball season on the right foot, the epic foot, I scripted and shot this team intro video in collaboration with the Athletics Video Coordinator, depicting the team as superheroes. I supervised and executed the cinematography and visual effects for this project.
The most challenging aspect of this production was coming up with enough “superpowers” for the whole team, and in that design phase I had a great time developing ideas with my friend and colleague Trey Morrow, who co-directed while serving as the Athletics Video Coordinator for Upstate Athletics. Once scripted, the VFX were a blast to execute. The volleyball team placed a lot of trust in us, and understood our vision well enough to deliver really fantastic performances.
